Fire Station Field Trip

Kohen's preschool took a field trip to the Conway Fire Department.
Probably Kohen's favorite place on Earth!

List

I thought it was about time to make a list of things my kids are doing, saying or interested in.  I used to do this for Kohen just about every month when he was an infant.  I haven't done a great job of that with Saylor.  SO, I thought I would make a list today...

Kohen

  • Goes to preschool from 9-noon on MWF
  • Takes a bath around 8:30 and goes to bed around 9pm.  Believe it or not, this is a great improvement...  Bedtime has been one of our greatest struggles with Kohen.  But, NOW, it's one of the easiest.  It took weeks of gradually getting bedtime closer and closer to 9 (He used to go to bed around 10:30-11, horrible, I know).
  • Kohen loves the Wii.  He especially loves the Lego games (Star Wars & Indiana Jones).  He is amazing at pretty much any Wii game.  It blows our mind how good he is.  My mom hates this.  She thinks it over stimulates him.  I have to disagree.  It's all about moderation... He uses problem solving skills, hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, sequencing, memory, he knows words & their meanings such as: up, down, left, right, in front, behind, above, below, in, out, fast, slow, climb, jump, stop, go, start, finish and "1st place"(lol) -He recognizes numbers, letters and symbols...  He has learned to listen and follow directions: I could tell him to "push A and the trigger together and then push C" and he could do it flawlessly... I could go on and on.  It's not ALL that bad Mom ;)
  • He loves chicken nuggets, mac and cheese, spaghetti, apples, grapes, raisins, powdered donuts, PB&J sandwiches, bananas, smily face potatoes, "green" eggs, yogurt and his favorite....ketchup.
  • He wears size 5 diaper.  He is not potty trained.  This is completely my fault.  I'm sure he would catch on very quickly, but for right now, this momma finds it easier to change diapers...and for any of you who want to judge me on this, I'm pretty sure you don't have a 6 month old on your hip 24-7.  I plan on training him this summer.
  • He wears size 3T shirts and size 3T-4T pants
  • He loves firetrucks, trains, police cars, helicopters, airplanes, ride on cars, Little Einstein's, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.
  • He loves to sing, dance and "make art"
  • he says "I'm strong, Mommy", "I'm big Mommy", "I had a good day at school", "The suns coming out", "I had a good night sleep"... among a million other things.
  • He calls Saylor "Sweetheart"
  • He LOVES his Mommy, Daddy and sister very much.

Saylor

  • 6 months old
  • Smiles all the time
  • rolls over from front to back and back to front
  • "talks" a lot
  • Sleeps all night long (at least 10 hours)
  • eating stage 1 baby food
  • assisted sitting up...  she can sit up a few seconds before she topples over
  • has had two front bottom teeth since she was 4 months old
  • loves to be held
  • loves to watch Kohen play
  • loves to wear pink and get dressed up and wear big outrageous bows (she told me this)
  • absolutely lights up when she sees her daddy
  • has the biggest blue eyes and the smallest little tootsies
  • wears size 2 diapers
  • wears size 3-6 month clothing
  •  has the sweetest personality
  • she's such a happy baby :)
