Thanksgiving 2010

We hosted Thanksgiving this year for Jason's side of the family at our house!  This is the first time in 30 years I have not traveled somewhere for Thanksgiving.  Growing up we would always go to my grandparents house.  When I got married we would always go to Jason's parents house.  I have to say that when I first found out we were having Thanksgiving at our house I got a little stressed out!  Thoughts of my mother-in-law having to cook in my kitchen freaked me out a little! HA!  So I went to Target and bought all new dish towels, oven mitts and serving utensils!!!  One of my main worries was her discovering my very unorganized Tupperware cabinet!  (by the way, it's organized now :)
We had 22 people at our house.   I have to say that it went VERY well and I would be more than happy to have them ALL back next year!  Jeanie, I'll buy new pots and pans next year! HA! :)

AnnaGrace and Lauren (the BEST babysitter EVER!)

Christian and Jenna (I don't think Jenna let Peyton go the whole time she was there! Peyton got to be wrapped in blankets, rode in a wagon and was made to sit in an Easter basket, HA!)

Katelyn and Julianne

Samantha and Sydney

Tim
(Kohen LOVED Tim)

Jake (Jake babysat Kohen while we went to the Razorback game this past Saturday!  Thanks Jake!)

Time to eat!

I'm thankful for this sweet boy...

TONS of food!!!

FAMILY

After everyone left, I prepared myself to do some Black Friday shopping!  I met my mom, sister, sis-in-law and Caron in Maumelle to go to the WalMart doorbuster sale at midnight.  We got there two hours early and sat by some big ticket items until we were able to load them in our baskets at 12am.  It was PACKED!  I decided that I was SO tired (plus I was pretty much done with getting all of my gifts bought earlier that week) so I went home after only one store.  I called my sister the next morning at 10am and she was STILL shopping!!!  She shopped all night long!

If you're interested click "HERE" to look back at last years Thanksgiving.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

The longest Blog Break Ever

I didn't mean to take a blog break, but I just haven't had time to blog lately.  Here are a few pictures from the past few days...

Cute picture, but, I hate this train.  This is a picture of Kohen bringing me the train to put back together... I swear I have put this train together over 500 times.  After about a week of dealing
with this *%$@ train, I hid it while Kohen was taking a nap.

My sweet boy

Don't ask me why we have a play room....because it might as well be in our living room...

Yep, another picture of Kohen bringing me the train to fix!  At least he does it with a smile!

I think this picture is the first time Kohen understood what I was doing with that
black thing in my hand (camera).  I've always said "Say Cheeese" when I take a picture and this was the first time he actually said it.  After I took the picture, he ran up to me to look at the pic I took!

I told him "ok, go back and stand in front of the Christmas tree so I can take another picture" and he did just that!  Hopefully this means the next time we have professional pictures made he will cooperate! Lol!

And here's where he got distracted by the tv :)

Once again, this is NOT the playroom...  Before I had Kohen I swore I would never be THAT mom that always had toys all over the place... oh well :)

I'll try to do a much better job blogging this week!

On a side note, Jason and I went to the Hogs vs. LSU game on Saturday and it was AWESOME!  Best game we've EVER been to!  Go Hogs!  Thanks to Jake, Ashley and Lauren for babysitting!  We were gone for about 10 hours so they split up babysitting duty :)  We're so lucky to have such WONDERFUL babysitters!

I Love You

This happened last night when I was about to put Kohen to bed:

Jason:  "Night, night Kohen, I love you (kisses him)"
Kohen: "I wob you"

This was the first time I've ever heard Kohen say I love you.

Busy, Busy, Busy

We have been very busy lately!  Here are some VERY random pictures of our life these past few weeks!

Toy Story 3 (finally) came out yesterday.  We took Kohen to Best Buy to buy it.  He was SO excited to see the displays :)

He brought his BFF, Woody, with him (His other BFF, Buzz, had to stay in the car)

Two weeks ago Jason was honored at the Sigma Phi Epsilon Alumni banquet during Henderson State University's homecoming.  He was recognized, along with three other men, for his lifetime contributions to the Arkansas Beta Chapter of HSU.  I hate that I missed the banquet but it fell on Kohen's 2nd birthday, so I thought that was a pretty good excuse for me to stay home with my baby boy :)

Like I said, these next few pictures are very RANDOM!

This is Sherri and her two boys and Kohen at Wal-Mart

Kohen fell asleep with a sucker in his hand.  Don't tell his daddy he ate a sucker :)

This is a picture of Sherri's little boy.  For homework, he had to draw his family on this paper.  Look closely...  They have an "extra" member in their family.... It's ME!!!

The boys watching a movie

My new favorite thing is my Scentsy warmer!!!  My friend sells them and I am IN LOVE with these things!

We hosted our first annual Halloween party this year!  It was a LOT of work but it was also a LOT of FUN!  We hired a karaoke company to come DJ/Karaoke throughout the party.  We even had our own "dance" floor!

Here are my AWESOME Conway friends!
Sherri. Me. Ashley. Amy. Tori

Scott and Kristin

Jason and I!
We stuck with the pirate theme so we could leave up some of Kohen's pirate birthday decorations.

We were so busy with having three parties in a row (CASA afrer party, Kohen's bday party, Halloween Party) at our house that I forgot one very important thing..... Kohen's Halloween costume!!!!!  On Halloween day I had to scramble to find him something to wear.  I came up with this cute little shirt that Shelley gave him that says "So many Trains, so little time" and I put a red bandana and an engineer hat on him and... Ta Da...his Halloween costume...

Mimi and Poppy gave Kohen this sandbox and toys for his birthday.  We just now put it out for him in the screened in porch area and he LOVES it!  He plays in it everyday (even when it's raining!).
