Kohen's favorite new spot is by his window in his room. Every morning we go to the window to play. We turn the air down pretty low at night (that's why you'll always see Kohen in long sleeve pj's) but in the morning it's always freezing. So we go sit in front of the window and feel the warm sun shining through. Kohen and I are both pretty hot natured so after a little bit we scoot over to escape the sun :) Peyton (one of our cats) is always with us. He loves Kohen. Kohen is so used to Peyton being around that it just seems completely normal that this"creature" is always by his side!
By the way, I have 100% enjoyed the cats getting all of their long hair cut off. The Lion haircut is here to stay!
Yesterday my sister, Adam, Jason and I hosted a wedding shower for my brother and Kristin at my house (We fly out to Cape San Blas for the wedding in one week! It will be Kohen's first plane ride!). It was a co-ed type shower...the boys left from our house to go to Tunica for Scott's bachelor party afterwards :) (Kristin's bachelorette party is going to be in Florida a few days before the wedding.) The shower was awesome. There were tons of people, good food and lots of gifts! When Scott and Kristin started opening gifts I got a little teary because it was the FIRST time I REALLY realized that my baby brother is getting married. Scott even asked me (with a really confused look on his face) if I was going to cry and I laughed and told him no :) I composed myself quickly! Seriously, I really think I'm going to be the most emotional person at the wedding (besides my mom!). MY SWEET BABY BROTHER IS GETTING MARRIED...CRAAAAAAAZZZZZYYYYYYY!!!!!!! ANYWAY...here are some pics from the shower... Thanks to my sister and my mom, we had some great eats! Mom and Dad came to my house to help me get ready for the shower (since Jason had a golf tournament until the shower started...convenient! ). I couldn't have done it without them!
I was so happy to see Jay Tolson, one of my high school friends, at the shower! It was so great to catch up!
Kohen, Scott, Max, Maddie, Dad, Caroline and Melanie
The happy couple! Scott and Kristin (is it bad that I'm jealous that she's about to have my maiden name???!!! HA!)
The casino boys! I told them when I was taking this picture that I didn't want it to show up on channel 7 later that night because of something bad happening! They promised they would be careful! From left to right: Adam Godwin, Adam Cass, Shane, Scott, Leo and Brad. These boys are SUCH great friends. Scott would do anything in the world for them.
My mom was SUCH a great help before, during AND after the shower. This is a pic of her feeding a very hungry baby Kohen!
These next few pictures crack me up. Our backyard is basically a small backyard with a fence and then the golf course. Well, Max and Maddie (my sisters kiddos) LOVE squeezing through the fence...
OMG...Max and Maddie LLLLLOOOOOOOVVVVVVVVEEEEEEE baby Kohen! They ALWAYS want to play with him and hold him! They are such great cousins and Kohen loves to watch them! (Maddie wanted to take her shirt off just like her big brother!)
This is Kohen playing in the waiting room at Dr. Baker's office. He LOVED this toy. He had his 9 month check-up: 21 lbs. 13 oz. (50-75%) & 28.25 inches (50-75%)

On Tuesday Kohen and I babysat Maddie while Shelley & Adam took Max to the doctor. It was a very rainy day...But it was the BEST rainy day EVER! We had SOOOO much fun walking the cart path on the golf course. There were no golfers, obviously, because of the very wet path/course. It wasn't raining when we went on our walk but Maddie insisted on having an umbrella. We had lots of fun walking through puddles with bare feet. Kohen LOVED watching Maddie play.
One of the last family pictures of the 4 Buck's...It will be 5 VERY soon :) I can't wait for little baby Buck to arrive. Shelley is due September 15 but has a history of having her babies very early. So he/she could be here at any time. Hopefully the baby will wait until closer to "it's" due date :)
Jason and I met in college at Henderson State University. In 2001 we started dating and got married May 31, 2003. I graduated with a BS in Art Education and Jason graduated with a degree in Biology/ Pre-Dental. A month after we were married, we moved to Kansas City so Jason could attend UMKC School of Dentistry. During the four years Jason was in dental school I was an art teacher at one of the best elementary schools in Missouri. I taught grades K-5 and absolutely loved it. We moved back to Arkansas (Conway) summer of 2007. Jason is a dentist in Conway and I am a stay at home mom. I miss teaching so much and will hopefully return to teaching when Kohen gets older. But as for now, I love staying at home with my sweet, sweet baby boy.
