Be Careful What You Wish For!

I realize this may be an inappropriate post, but I'm pretty much an open book and I just want to document what's going on in our lives! I'm having breast reduction surgery in 8 days. I know those of you who read my blog and haven't seen me since high school are thinking "What???"!!! Probably because I used to get made fun of for being flat chested! I remember when I would go to the pool with my friends and it would be my turn to jump off the diving board. I was always so self conscious of my chest size. I would always wrap my arms around my chest as I was walking to the end of the diving board to try and "cover up" my flat chest! I even remember back in middle school making "potions" (don't laugh, you KNOW you did it too!) with my friends to try and make our boobs grow. I would pray, and wish and wonder why God didn't give me boobs. Well, God heard me. Loud and clear. I guess you could say I was a late, very late, bloomer. So now, I'm stuck with these gargantuan boobs that could possibly have their own zip code :). Most people would love to have big boobs, but those people don't understand how it affects EVERYTHING. 1. Clothes. I have to buy huge shirts/dresses to fit my bra size. 2. Exercise. I have to wear at least THREE sports bras when I exercise and even then I have to hold my chest most of the time if I'm jumping or anything like that. Therefore, I hate to exercise. I like to play golf but it's hard to hold a golf club and swing through correctly without my boobs getting in the way! 3. Grandma bras. My bras are so not cute. I'm tired of the huge multiple clasps and wide padded straps. 4. Uncomfortable. I'm just so uncomfortable. I'm ready for a change.
My surgery will be in Tulsa on March 19th. I'm pretty scared. I'm ready for it to be done and over with! I've heard many success stories from people who have had this surgery or know someone who has. I pray it works out well for me too! Victoria's Secret HERE I COME!!!

I laughed so hard at this post because I remember us making those "potions" in my bathroom at my old house. I think they must have worked - we should have kept the formula!! :) I know exactly how you feel. I'm planning on getting one as a treat to myself when I lose 15 more pounds. Good luck! I'll have to give you a call and find out how it goes. Good luck!

Miranda, I made those "potions" with you AND Terri and we all turned out with huge boobs! LOL! We could have sold that stuff!

Stephanie thanks for your sweet comments about Lucy and her bath! It is actually my favorite post too! I'm just happy we had a camera.

PS-I could have used your potion in highschool.... well college too. Lucy actually helped me out in that department. If your potion could give me a lift then I would take it!

Congrats Stephanie and good luck! So, do you have any of that potion left over! :-) I know a few older girls who should've stolen some of that way back when! Love your blog, your honesty makes me laugh!
